Prepare Him Room: 28 Ways to Embrace the Spirit of Christmas

Hey, ladies! I’d love to invite you to join our upcoming Advent series, Prepare Him Room: 28 Ways to Embrace the Spirit of Christmas. Unlike our usual Bible studies, this one is more of a devotional style that encourages you to slow down and make space for what matters most—Jesus. Each day offers inspiring stories, scripture readings, simple challenges, and questions designed to draw you closer to Christ.

Over the course of four weeks, we’ll go through the book together beginning November 26th. Once again, we will have weekly videos, and printable chapters.

Take a moment amidst the holiday hustle to focus on His presence. Discover practical ways to reflect Christ’s love in your home, relationships, and daily life.

Let’s make this Christmas a true celebration of our Savior.

We Fix Our Eyes Not On What Is Seen

We Fix Our Eyes Not On What Is Seen –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We love each other deeply, but some days are still difficult. Sometimes we may entertain thoughts that we shouldn’t. Some days we lust after a self-centered life.

A focus on ourselves, anxiety, and lust are just some of the tools satan will use to drive a wedge in our marriage and doubt into our minds.

Many couples have asked themselves, Did I marry the right person? Why aren’t we as happy as other couples we know? Would I be happier if I was single? Is divorce really that bad? Is it an option that we should consider?

Help us to recognize and quickly dismiss these types of destructive thoughts, Lord. Increase our faith so these doubts don’t settle in and take root.

If we’re discouraged, dejected, or low, may we turn our focus away from what is seen to what is not seen — from the temporary to the eternal and glorious. You’re the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End — Almighty God.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. – 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, KJV

__________________________

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. – 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, NIV
