We’re No Longer Two, But One – Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your design for our marriage is that we’re no longer two, but one, and so it’s our desire that day after day we grow closer together.

So many things can pull us apart if we let them. Help us to stand guard, to keep a close watch, and to fight for our marriage. Remind us to nurture the bond that we share by spending time together and communicating our thoughts.

Give us the wisdom to notice when we’re drifting apart, and show us what we can do to fix it.

Don’t allow any thoughts of separation to enter our minds. Even a passing thought of the single life can grow into a habit of unhealthy thinking.

Remind us to make our marriage a priority. May we put each other before our friends, our interests, our families, and ourselves.

Help us to dream together, to play together, to pray together, to spend time together, and most importantly to grow strong in faith together.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Bible Verse of the Day

For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. – Matthew 19:5-6, KJV

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. – Matthew 19:5-6, NIV

Busy Books Bible Study for Kids

If you’re looking for a great Bible study for kids, readers are raving about Busy Books Bible Studies for Kids. Here are just a few of their comments:

Underpriced for the Quality (5 Stars)
This book is adorable! I was surprised by the thickness. So many lessons, coloring pages, and fun puzzles. The graphics are well done and the lessons are informative. It’s a good guide for walking younger children through the Bible. However, it’s a great quiet time lesson for older children to do on their own! I’m very impressed and look forward to more this author puts out! (Linda Trahern, Amazon Review)

Much Better Than Expected (5 Stars)
My grandchildren are going to devour this Bible study. The stories are written for easy understanding and scriptural as well. Exciting puzzles and questions to get them digging excitedly in their bibles. Much better than I expected. When is book 2 coming out? (Gary Rajata, Amazon Review)
