We’ve Been Forgiven Much –
Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, acknowledging that we are imperfect people in need of Your help to love one another well.
Lord, we pray for hearts that are quick to forgive and slow to hold onto hurt. When misunderstandings arise or words are spoken in frustration, remind us to turn toward one another with humility instead of pulling away. Teach us to reflect Your mercy in the way we handle each other’s faults, knowing that we’ve been forgiven much.
Help us, Lord, to extend grace even when it’s difficult, choosing to prioritize love over pride and unity over being right. May we speak truth in love and work through challenges with patience and kindness, keeping no record of wrongs.
Strengthen us with the peace that comes from You alone, so that forgiveness becomes a bridge to healing and grace restores what may feel broken. Draw us closer to one another as we seek to glorify You in our marriage.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Today’s Bible Verse
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. — Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)
__________________________
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. — Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
