When Comparison Creeps In

When Comparison Creeps In - Today's Marriage Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

It’s easy to fall into the mindset that we need more—more time, more money, more answers, more of everything. But You remind us to slow down, to look around, and to find peace in what You’ve already given.

Help us to be content—not in a way that stops us from growing, but in a way that keeps our hearts steady. Let us find joy in the little things: a quiet moment, a shared meal, a hand held during prayer. These are the treasures we don’t want to overlook.

When comparison creeps in, quiet our hearts. When we feel like we’re not “there” yet, remind us that Your presence is enough—and that “there” is wherever You’re leading us, together.

Let our marriage be a place where gratitude grows, where simplicity is cherished, and where we’re deeply aware that Your faithfulness is more than enough to carry us through.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
