When We Fall Short - Today's Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your endless mercy, for meeting us in our weakness and loving us in spite of our flaws. We ask that You remind us daily of how much we need Your grace—not just as individuals, but as a couple. When we fall short, help us to admit it quickly, to seek forgiveness humbly, and to move forward in peace.
Teach us to show mercy as freely as we’ve received it. When frustration tempts us to point fingers, turn our hearts instead toward understanding. Help us to see our spouse not as an opponent, but as a partner who’s also learning, growing, and depending on You.
We ask that You use our shortcomings to draw us closer to one another and to You. May every failure become a reminder of Your faithfulness, every disagreement an opportunity to practice love, and every struggle a step toward deeper unity.
We ask that You shape us by Your Truth until our marriage reflects the beauty of redemption and the strength of Your grace.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
