When We Feel Distant — Today’s Marriage Prayer
Dear heavenly Father,
We thank You for the love You’ve given us and the commitment that holds us together. We ask for Your help in the moments when we feel distant from one another. When life becomes crowded, when routines take over, or when unspoken concerns begin to build space between us, gently draw our hearts back together.
Teach us to notice the signs of distance early—
the quiet withdrawal,
the hurried conversations,
the small misunderstandings that go unaddressed.
Lord, give us wisdom to pause and reconnect before the gap widens. Help us approach each other with humility rather than defensiveness, with listening ears rather than assumptions, and with a desire for peace rather than personal victory.
We ask that You renew the closeness we long for—through honest conversations, shared moments, and the willingness to offer grace where it’s needed. Strengthen our unity so that distance does not define us, and help us walk toward one another with patience and love.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
