You Give Endurance To The Weary

You Give Endurance To The Weary –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Through Isaiah, You have said that You give endurance to the weary and renew the strength of those who are weak. We hold fast to these words as an anchor for our souls, for within our marriage, as in life, we are sometimes met with a weariness that clings as closely as a second skin.

When the weight of life’s trials seeks to bow our heads, when difficulties test the bonds of our union, we turn our eyes to You, our Foundation and our Hope. Grant us the ability to rise on wings like eagles, to run without weariness, to walk without growing faint, clinging to one another in the light of Your steadfast love.

Remind us that our trials are doorways for Your might to enter in. Teach us to live by Your boundless strength, for in You we live, and move, and have our being.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. – Isaiah 40:29-31, KJV

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31, NIV
