Today’s Marriage Prayer – A Prayer For My Wife,
A Prayer For My Husband

Her prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

I bring my husband before you today asking that you would bless him and shape him into the man he was designed to be.

Give him strength to lead our family, as Christ led the church with love and humility.

Equip him with wisdom to make good decisions that are pleasing to you.

Show him his worth, Lord. And show me ways that I might edify him.

Please protect his job, give him a peaceful work environment, and secure the position he has.

Grant him the patience and understanding he needs to love me the way that he should.

In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

His prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

I bring my wife before you today asking that you would bless her and shape her into the woman she was designed to be.

Help her to see her worth and her beauty the way that I do.

Bring good friends into her life. Women she can laugh with, women who encourage her, and women who are there when she needs good advice.

Develop her talents and show me ways that I might encourage and nurture her interests.

Give her the wisdom and strength to balance her time, and show me the ways I might help her.

Grant her the patience and understanding she needs to love me the way that she should.

In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. – Philippians 2:2-4, KJV

Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. – Philippians 2:2-4, NIV
