Fearfully and Wonderfully Made –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help us to fully appreciate the qualities we find in each other. Open our eyes so that we may value the everyday things that we might otherwise overlook.

Thank you for creating us in each our own unique way. Equip us with Your love that we may use the gifts you have given us. May You show us ways we can sharpen one another.

Your word tells us how we were created with intent, and how we’re fearfully and wonderfully made. Help us to appreciate these gifts that you have knit into our souls.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. – Psalm 139:14-16, KJV

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. – Psalm 139:14-16, NIV
