Keep Our Eyes Focused On You –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We ask that You help us to keep our eyes focused on You and to take them off of this world.

It’s natural to want approval, acceptance, and confirmation. But if we’re looking to gain favor from this world, and if we’re trying to please others more than You, our heart is not acting according to your will.

But we’re servants of Christ, not of this world. Bring us into obedience to Your will. Turn our hearts toward You and only You. Give us the wisdom to choose well, the faith to follow Your lead, and the courage and strength to stand when our faith is put to the test.

Your Word isn’t popular, our faith isn’t mainstream, and the choices we make are confusing to many. But we’re not here to please man, we’re here to please You.

Help us to do that, Lord. Help us to be steadfast when our faith is tested and when others are standing against us.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
