Teach Us To Value Humility – Today’s Marriage Prayer

I’m using the next month to get our next Bible Study done. In the meantime, I redid one of our older studies The Full Armor Of God. I added more content, better graphics, and thought provoking questions. I won’t be going through this one with you as I want to focus on the new study, but if you are looking for a study to work on during my break, it will keep you busy.

It’s available for free in the members only section of the blog. If you are a subscriber, you can find the link to it at the bottom of the emails you have received.

It’s also available at Amazon. Click here if you would prefer to pick up a copy.

Teach Us To Value Humility

Teach Us To Value Humility –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with humble hearts, seeking Your guidance and wisdom in our marriage. Teach us to value humility as the foundation of our love and interactions with each other. Help us remember that being humble does not mean seeing ourselves as less, but thinking of ourselves less — to have a servants heart.

May we have a humility that will lead us to listen before speaking, and to understand before seeking to be understood. May we embrace each other’s strengths and forgive each other’s weaknesses with grace.

Inspire us, O God, to serve one another in love, as Jesus served His disciples, washing their feet as a servant. Let this same spirit of servanthood be alive in our actions and words, as we put each other’s needs before our own, reflecting Your love and compassion.

Bless our marriage with the peace that comes from a humble heart. May we always celebrate each other’s successes without envy, and support each other in times of difficulty with patience and kindness. In our walk together, remind us that humility is the path to a deeper connection and a more profound love.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. – Philippians 2:3-4, KJV

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. – Philippians 2:3-4, NIV
