May We Love As You Love

May We Love As You Love –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with grateful hearts, seeking Your guidance in our marriage and in our extended family relationships. Father, Your word teaches us that love binds us together in perfect unity (Colossians 3:14, NIV), and we earnestly desire that unity within our family.

Lord, we pray for harmony. Let every word spoken, every gesture made, and every action taken be rooted in the love and understanding You have taught us. Help us to listen more than we speak, to see the needs of others, and to respond with kindness.

We ask for understanding, Lord. Grant us the wisdom to see beyond our differences, to celebrate what binds us together, and to cherish the family You have entrusted to us. Let our hearts be filled with empathy, patience, and a willingness to see each other through Your eyes.

Above all, we pray for love, Lord. May our extended family be a testament to the love You have shown us through Christ. Let us be slow to anger, quick to forgive, and generous in our compassion.

Guide our steps, Father, that our family may be a shining example of Your grace. May our home be a haven of peace, where laughter is shared, where memories are made, and where Your love abides.

Today’s Bible Verse

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. – Philippians 2:2-3, KJV

Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves – Philippians 2:2-3, NIV
