Overcome Evil With Good – Today’s Marriage Prayer

Join Our Current Bible Study

Ruth: Echoes of Christ, Our Kinsman Redeemer

Over the course of four weeks beginning Tuesday, February 20th, join me as we explore the profound significance of the unknown kinsman, uncover the rich symbolism of his shoe, and connect the dots to the Ten Commandments.

We’ll look back at the lives of Biblical characters like Lot, Perez, Judah, and Tamar, seeking to understand their roles in God’s story. Questions like ‘Where does Naomi fit into all this?’ and ‘Why is the timing of these events so crucial?’ will guide our exploration, as we uncover the beauty and depth of these Biblical narratives.

Karissa is also back to bless us each week with her insightful videos. If you would like more information on our study, visit our website.

Overcome Evil With Good

Overcome Evil With Good –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord, in moments when misunderstandings cloud our bond, grant us the wisdom to not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Help us to embody this truth, turning every challenge into an opportunity to demonstrate Your love.

In the face of harsh words or actions, empower us, O God, to respond with kindness. Teach us to forgive as You have forgiven us, to love unconditionally, and to build bridges where walls might have been.

May our marriage be a testament to Your enduring love, a sanctuary of peace and grace. Let every act of patience, every word of encouragement, and every gesture of affection be a reflection of Your goodness.

In moments of trial help us find our deepest joy and satisfaction in You, and in doing so, may our marriage be a beacon of Your light and love in a world that often feels dark.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. – Romans 12:18-21, KJV
