Ready For Every Good Work

Ready For Every Good Work –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We ask that by Your grace, You make us faithful — ready for every good work. Teach us to trust You, even in our darkest moments, and to lean on Your strength when we’re weak.

May we remember to seek You in Your Word and in prayer so that we may always sense Your presence. Help us to exercise our faith. Give us the strength to rejoice in tribulation, and the courage to trust that You will always be the same faithful God You have been in the past.

Our marriage vows aren’t merely for us, Lord. They are also a symbol of our dedication to You. Take every part of this marriage, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health to do as You will.

And may we be faithful to You all of our days on this earth.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: so shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. – Proverbs 3:3-6, KJV

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:3-6, NIV
