Our Light and Momentary Troubles –
Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Teach us to not look behind us, but forward with hope.

Your Word tells us that our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory and that the glory to come will outweigh them all. And so, we ask that you help us get through them and grow by Your grace. Help us to choose well today, as we invest in our future. Remind us that the choices we make have eternal ramifications. Remind us of the incredible joy set before those who faithfully serve.

The day we were born again, we knew Christ as our Savior, we knew He was also our Lord. Lord of our lives, Lord of our marriage, Lord over our home. And so, we have chosen to pick up our cross and follow His will in all that we do.

Remind us also that the choices we make either wise or foolish today can affect our marriage tomorrow. And so, to have a strong marriage, and if we truly want to serve Christ, we need to choose well. 

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
