You Know Our Thoughts – Today’s
Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your Word tells us that You know us intimately. You know when we sit and when we rise. You know our comings and goings. You know our thoughts even before we have the words to express them. You count the hair on our heads. Your love for us is amazing.

Just as we were called to close fellowship with Your Son, marriage too was designed from the beginning to be a lifelong relationship. For two to become one. To love and serve one another, and to be faithful examples to those around us.

And so, we ask, Lord, that You have us grow by Your grace, that we may love the way You designed us to love. Tenderly giving and always forgiving. Allowing each other to grow with patience and grace. Humbly serving each other with joy.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Today’s Bible Verse

O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
