We Speak – Today’s Marriage Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

In a world that’s often more concerned with words than actions, it can be easy to forget that our deeds often speak louder than words. Help us to sharpen one another so that we may grow in our faith; to be an example and an encouragement to those around us. That we be filled with compassion and the desire to love.

Ephesians 4:29 instructs us to use our words to edify so that we might minister grace to each other. That our words would stem from a heart that’s in tune with Yours, and that our actions would mirror the words we speak. Remind us to always speak gently, with wisdom, and in truth.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
